    Exclamation Concerns over "Basic Fat Burning Soup Diet"

    Hello,

    I was shown this Diet called the Basic Fat Burning Soup Diet. I was told that this is given to people in the hospital that need to loose weight before surgery, the person that showed me it wants to go on it. I am worried that this could be a dangerous diet to go on and wanted your gals/guys opinions.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Basic Fat Burning Soup
    -2 large onions (Red)
    -2 large green peppers
    -2 Cans Diced Tomatoes
    -1 Bunch Celery
    -2 Bullion cubes
    Pepper, Thyme, Baisl, Chili powder and onion Soup Mix

    Chop vegies into small to medium pieces and cover with 6 cups of water season with pepper, thyme, basil, chili powder to taste. Mix in onion soup mix and bullion. Boil fast for 10 minutes and simmer for one hour.

    Eat as much of this soup as you want, whenever you want it at any time of the day. This soup will not add calories, the more you eat the more you will lose. Drink sugarless teas, coffee, cranberry juice or water.

    Day By Day Diet

    DAY 1
    All fruits except bananas. Eat all the fruit you want. Cantaloupes and watermelon are lower in calories than most fruits. Today eat only fruit and soup.

    DAY 2
    Eat raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. Eat green leafy vegatables and stay away from peas, beans and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with the soup dinner, reward yourself with a baked potato. (Absolutely no butter) Do not eat fruit today.

    DAY 3
    Mix Day 1 & 2 Eat all the fruit and vegetables you want along with the soup. NO potatoe

    DAY 4
    Bananas and skim milk. Eat as many as 8 bananas and drink as many glasses of milk along with your soup. Your body will need the potassium, protein and calcium to lessen craving for sweets. You can make banana milk shakes using frozen bananas blending with milk and vanilla.

    DAY 5
    Beef and tomatoes today 10-12 oz of beef and up to 6 fresh tomatoes. Drink five to eight glasses of water to wash teh uric acid from your body. Eat soup at least once.

    DAY 6
    Beef and vegetable today, eat to your hearts content of beef and vegetable today. You can have two or three steaks as long as you eat green leafy vegetables with them. No potato, eat soup at least once today.

    DAY 7
    Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and vegetables again today stuff yourself be sure to eat soup at least once.


    At the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated on this diet you will have lost 10-17 pounds. If you have lost more then 15 pounds go off the diet for 2 or 3 days before going back on it again.

    The seven day eating plan can be used as often as you like, correctly followed it will clean your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being as never before. After only a few days of this diet you will begin to feel lieghter and have a abundance of energy. Continue this plan as long as you wish to feel the difference. This diet is a fast fat burning diet and the secret is that you will burn more calories than you take in.

    This diet does not lend to Alcohol, because of the removal of fat build up in your system. Go off the diet 24hr before an intake. Because everyone's digestive system is different this diet will affect you differently. After 3rd day you will have more energy if you do not cheat. After being on the diet several days you may find your bowel movements have changed EAT bran and fiber. Although you can have sugarless black coffee with this diet you may not want to after the 3rd day.


    DEFINITE NO NO'S
    no bread, no alcohol no carbonated drinks not even soft drinks. stick with water, sugarless tea, black coffee. Unsweetened fruit juices, skim milk on the day it is allowed.

    - no fried foods or breads or crackers. You may eat broiled or baked chicken instead of beef. No skin on the chicken
    - if you prefer you can substitute broiled fish for one of the beef days, you will need the protien from the beef the other day. The basic fat burning soup can be eaten at any time you feel hungry and you may eat as much as you wish and as often as you wish, any prescribed medication will not hurt you on this diet.

    Continue this plan as long as you wish and feel the difference. This diet is used for overweight patients who need to lose weight rapidly usually before suregery.

    absolute bullshit to put it simply, this wont work wheres the daily protein intake? this is the sort of diet where after u look like a toothpic with no muscle and then blow up with fat real quick like diesel said, totaly missleading and i wouldnt even consider it

    thats what I thought. Could you use this to cut and then maintain with proper exercise and eating though ?

    yep... bullshit. Give you an example old student comes up to me at gym doing slimfast (was big boy) lost 40 or more lbs, but couldn't drop anymore. I told him your going die drinking that shit and trying to workout etc.. put him on about 2600 cals 6 clean meals, moderatly low carbs, he has lost 6lbs in two weeks, not eating in no way to drop lbs...

    Look at the diet: it limits you to a lot of very low-calorie and (relativerly) unappetizing foods. Of course you will lose weight if you limit yourself to eating mostly veggies, little protien etc. It has nothing to do with the fat burning soup. Just another fad diet.
