    Egg whites VS whey/flax

As for a slow release protein meal wouldn't egg whites be better then whey/flax since they contain no fat and thus have fewer calories?

look if this a B4 bed meal

    i would use

18eggwhites &1whole egg 1.5tsp flax &veggies (artichoke or green beans)

2micellar casein protein powder with some Flax(it already has some so dont put too much)&veggies

if u wanna use the whey thats fine too but its fast absorbing i wouldnt use it.......

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
when u dont have whey isolate for pwo shake...u use egg whites so by common sense id say theyre fast absorbing protein........
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if u were asking for a thru-out the day meal then add whitewith oats or yolks depending on ur goals and the whey shake is fine here since u eat every 2..5 -3 hours

Info overload!!! ijust thot of everything i know and i gotta go down so i didnt make that much sense but if ur read carefully im sure u can get some good pointers

    My thing is this......

Before bed or not, I'd never eat egg whites (protein) alone anyhow.

So, for that reason alone, a shake w/flax is a better option. (protein/fat)

Why not? Isn't the point of the fat just to slow down the apsortion of protein?

I ingest fat for a myriad of reasons. Hormone levels, alternate source of energy in the absence of carbohydrates (so the protein you eat is not used for fuel, but rather for repair), skin, nails, brain function, etc. Far more reasons to include fat other than it slowing gastric emptying.

Those are just MY reasons though.
