making weight gainer...
okay i dont know where i heard this and i dismissed it thinking it was silly but thought about it and could be an idea,but let me know if im talking shit... getting like 2 sccoops of choc protein, skimmed milk/fat free ice cream and gettin it all in a shake, its gonna be like 500 cals?

Sounds a bit rubbish bro. Are you not getting enough cals from your diet? You should be eating every 2-3 hours. A good "home made" weight gainer would probably contain whey protein, rolled oats, banana & honey. Some people would also add natural peanut butter or some flax but i wouldn't like to mix my carbs and fats.

yeah im getting enuff cals and eating every 2 hours! i was just wondering cos it would save money, know what i mean matrix guy!

Adding the fat free ice cream would just be adding sugar to your protein, and I don't see that as being beneficial in any diet goals(except dextrose PWO, of course). Why don't you take a look at the bulking sticky at the top of the main page in the diet forum?

A good homemade weight gainer would be besides just having a whey/ flax shake is this....
1-2 cups oats
1 spoon natty pb
1-2 scoops whey
1-2 cups water
6 ice cubes

IMO a very clean bulk diet is the rbest way to go, consume all the right foods as you would for cutting but more...
