Just kidding, since you work out at 11am, you should have most of your daily carbs bracketed around then, as your metabolisim slows at night time. You can eat carbs just don't go crazy and make sure they are wholesome grains, fiberous veggies would be best. By the way are you cutting or bulking?

They get stored as fat because you don't do any activities when you sleep, and carbs role is to be energy to the body....

They'd be allowed if they were PPWO though....

Still I would take much in at night if you are concerned with the extra fat gain potential...As bor said metabolisim slows at night and if you are working out in the am you should have already consumed most of your daily carbs!

Well I wouldn't eat carbs right before bed myself.... you will end up storing it as fat, unless of course you had just worked out and it was your pwo meal, than it's a different story. Really how youy place your carbs depends on many factors... like goals, daily schedule.... and so on.

If you are bulking then it's OK to have some carbs before going to bed, especially if it's PWO.

There is nothing wrong with having some low glycemic carbs at night as long as you don't over do it. It can help you keep glycogen levels up at night. You also have to remember that sleeping is catabolic. Keep the fat low at night.

I eat protein+carbs before bed... as long as: 1. you don't go over your daily caloric allotment 2. they're low glycemic, you'll be fine.

There are, however, better options for a pre-bed meal...especially if you're nearing the end of a cutting cycle and trying to lose those last few pounds.
