It seems like you have most things taken care of. Ofcourse, you diet is very much contingent on your size and what you're trying to do. I'm assuming you're trying to bulk up (he he).
Thus, taking in almost 5000 calories sounds about right...If I was you, I'd post your stats (height, weight, BF %) to go along.

another thing...you speak of real food. Why do you take a soda after your work out?
if you want sugar and protein you can very well mix your protein powder with juice (a natural variety like grape, OJ (unless you're taking creatine), etc...) Soda is kind of crappy. Caffeine is nice though.

I'm no dietitian, but everything looks good. In my humble opinion, everything will come down to working out. what kind of lifting/cardio regimen are you on?
Also, how big are you trying to get?

well I wouldnt eat a peanutbutter sandwiched even while bulking since I would become fat as hell of that. One doesnt have to be as strickt separating carbs and fats while bulking but there is still some things imo that should be avoided.

I also notice that you are severly lacking in efa's. Except the peanutt butter but that realy isnt enough.

I dont know what is in Nlarge but if its only a protein powder(no added carbs)then I would add some flax and olive oil in the last meal. Mostly for health reasons. Eating a avacado during the day would also be a good idea. Adding some oil and cutting down a bit on the cheese on the tuna and cheese meal would be another idea.

Add dextrose/maltodextrine and remove soda in pwo meal.

Do you realy need all those carbs? I dont know what kind of metabolism you have but 500+grams of carbs and close to 5000kcal would make me fat very quickly

your bulking diet is similar to mine

    i am currently on
    pro: 360g
    Carbs: 430g
    Fat: 77g

i am trying to get as many carbs as poss, but was curious to see the "how to bulk" thread which recommended a Protein and carb ratio nearly of 2:1
    eg.
    420g pro
    250g carb

what do you think Johan? ( i see you are a vet now, so i'll ask you_)

    more or less carbs?

lol dont take my word as law just because I am vet still got lots to learn about diet.

I think this comes down to what your body type can handle. But I aggre with the protein carb ratio. One thing to keep in mind is that if you decided to do a high carb diet then cut down alot on fat. Dont do both high fat and high carb that will lead to disaster.

Either bulk with plenty of carbs, plenty of protein and the right ammounts of efa's(20-30grams/day or so).
    OR
Bulk with medium carbs, plenty protein and medium fat.

Looking at your avatar it looks that you are one big mofo and lean to so it looks like your diet is working

I would bump upp protein 100grams and lower carbs 100 grams if I where you btw. Plenty of protein stimulates metabolism so its always good to boatload on it

Thanks for the info bro.... My metabolism is wicked so thats really whats nessecary for me to gain optimally. Fat gain really is none of my concern, I can afford it, and I can drop it easily.

Johan, do we need the same amount of omega 3's as omega 6's?

i'm currently getting about half of each but wandered if we required one more than the other?

does anyone know the ideal ratio of carbs/pro/fat for bulking?

at the moment i am eating
    carbs 50%
    pro 40%
    Fat 10%

finding it pretty effective too, with little change in my bodyfat

4 scoops=1 serving... which comes to

580 calories...of course you probably will never absorb that much in one sitting, but hey your bulking, the more the merrier...

Johan...would you say Udos Choice oil would be good to cover all those things mentioned?

I am not to familiar with udo's choooise. I hear its real good but I have never taken a look at it and the proportiones of oils in it. WAY to expensive for me.

Hemp oil is one of the natural oils with the best fatty acid balance.
