    Thumbs up Cream of Wheat

Used to love this as a kid, and just recently began eating it again for the last 3 weeks or so.

Man I forgot how good this is!!!!! I eat it southern style though (Louisiana) with salt and "I can't believe it's not butter" spray.

I hate sweet hot cereal, ughhh......

It's like oatmeal but wheat, it's really good with ICBINB and a little skim milk. If you like it sweet you can add splenda or honey, good stuff!

I use it in my first meal of the day instead of oats, and in my 2nd post-workout meal as well. You can use it while dieting.

It's funny you mention the "I can't believe it's not butter" spray... cause I have had to go to the states to get that stuff... you can't even get it here in Canada... One time, I seriously drove to detroit to pick up American diet food,... obsessive compolsive... yes, but dayyym that stuff is guud! Is it against the board rules to ask for a source????

ya i use instead of oats also. I think I am allergic to gluten because when I eat oatmeal I feel bloated afterwards so the creme of rice is a good subsistute for me.

Damn ass backwards SC!! Haha. I hate grits...mainly b/c of the butter and salt thing. Yuck. No one up north eats CoW with butter and salt. I'm truly curious if anyone does.

Yup , same thing for the cream of wheat w/ salt and butter spray , i usually make more than one serving so i wont have to do it later in the day and usually end up eating both of them at one time , never seems to happen with old fashioned oats , i dont even eat oats plain anymore i end up making them into the oatmeal pancakes

On another note...why does splenda contain dextrose and maltodextrin?

I'm reading the ingredients and it list in this order: Dextrose; Maltodextrin; Sucralose.

    This pisses me off.

We have caribou here...I have had it...but it is not readily available.

We mainly have beef, chicken, etc. Very standard. If a person wants new game meat...they have to hunt it themselves. I grew up with family who hunted so I have had it all. Also have friends and family in farming...so it's not uncommon to get sides of beef for next to nothing.

PM me you address and I'll see what I can do for you.

Elk for sure. One of my favs. My uncle used to shoot elk all the time.

Venison (deer meat) is extremely low fat too. Almost too dry. Usually have to grind in 25% pork. My Dad gives me some every year.
