108/50, resting heart rate is 70 or so, even though 'technically' resting heart rate would be when your like asleep lol

I don't know my bp, but when I go to the red cross to donate blood my resting heart rate is usually 56. How do you guys know your bp?

FYI, Tiger, you are supposed to take your heart rate as soon as you wake up so you do get your "resting" heart rate. I have never done this though, I don't usually think about it when I wake up, lol.

I have a bloodpressure and heart rate monitor at home that I use to check myself with once every 2 weeks or so. Eveyr juicer should have one of these. Its easy, automatic, cheap. Just wrap it around the wrist and push the on button

But heart rate is easy. Just count heartbeats for a minute by holding your fingers against the wrist or throath.

Haha. It's much easier (though not quite as accurate) if you count for say 15 seconds then multiply by 4.

Yes, true resting heart rate is upon waking in the morning without an alarm (how often does that happen) and not having to pee REALLY bad. If you're incorporating cardio at all, a heart rate monitor is a great way to be sure you're at the intensity you want to be at. You can pick up a basic Polar for about $50. Then if you're bore you can wear it, lie down on the floor, relax and take deep breaths and see how low you can make it go. (yes, I know I'm a dork, I've done this)
And yes Johan. Lots. Used to be many hours a week, now I've cut down and added more weight training.
