    Cooking Tilapia and Oatmeal Shakes?

Recently, I have been blending a half cup of uncooked oatmeal in my prot shakes. Today, someone told me that not cooking the oatmeal reduces absorbtion and can irritate the colon. Is this true?

Also, I was reading the thread on how to cook salmon, and i came across that bbq recipe w the foil. Could the same be done with tilapia? If so, how long would you recommend cooking it for?
Any other recipes for tilapia would be great. Usually, I marinate my tilapia overnight w lime garlic, and pepper. It is very good, but i don't want to get bored w it.
    Thanks

Don't know what tilapia is, but chances are you can cook it on a grill. As for the oats, I would think they would be more fiberous if anything in raw form, but ground up oats are in no way unhealthy.

Thanks BeerBaron. It makes life alot easier to just put the oatmeal w/ the whey in the blender.
Tilapia is a sweet water farm fish (no bones). I always grill it, but I was wondering if I could do that bbq thing w it. I need some variation.
No bs, I had a tuna shake the other day w some low carb apple juice. It wasn't too bad.

Almost all fish can be cooked the same way, grilling in foil is great. Just follow the same rules for cooking most every fish... And don't over-cook. When the Tilipia "flakes" it's done.

I was hesitant to BBQ up the tilapia (dang fish is expensive), but I will try it.
    Thanks for your response.

you can cook any fish in the aluminum foil pouch, but i wouldn't just throw talapia on the bbq because it will fall apart.

Yeah, it's a mission w/out the foil. Pieces of fish fall in b/tween the grill.
