    Post The Protien List

Please only post in this thread good protien sources. Also state if the protien is lean or has some fat. This thread is for reference for anyone who wants to shake up thier protien intake, as it is NOT good to eat the same couple of protiens all the time, as you may develope an allergy to it. This can be avoided by shaking it up a little. Any source thats good for muscle growth can be listed. Please do not post questions!! Ill start by adding these common protiens...

Whey - lean - the most popular protien suppliment. gram for gram protein

Tuna - lean - lots of salt though - 6 oz has 40 grams protein

Chicken Breast - lean - 4 oz has 35 grams protein

Beef - lean beef has some saturated fat, 3 oz. has 26 grams protein

Turkey - lean - 3 oz. has 25 grams protein

Salmon - lean and has lots of EFAs - 3 oz. has 23 grams of protein

Milk - Skim - low fat - 8 oz. has 8 grams protien

Yogurt - low fat, or new Activa with beneficial bacteria - 8 oz. has 10 grams
    protein

Tofu - yuck lean (LOL!!) 4 oz. has 10 grams protein

Cottage cheese - low fat or normal for fat/protein meals. 4 oz. has 14 grams
    protein

Egg (1) - 6 grams of good protein

Chedder cheese - saturated fat - 1 oz. has 9 grams protein

Peanut Butter - Smooth Type 2 Tbs. 9.1 grams

Add whatever you think is a good protein!!!!

I would exclude everything with nuts in it since nuts are an incomplete protein but a good source of fat.
