Low Carb High Protein Diet?????
HEY GUYS, I JUST STARTED A LOW CARB HIGH PROTEIN DIET, I NEED SOME OPINIONS. IM TRYING TO GAIN LEAN MASS AND MAYBE BURN OFF SOME FAT:
PLEASE CRITIQUE:
1ST MEAL: 4EGG EGG WHITES, OATMEAL, PROTEIN SHAKE
2ND MEAL: 2CHICKEN BREASTS OR TOP ROUND STEAK W/HALF A CUP OF RED BEANS
3RD MEAL:TWO CANS OF TUNA OR SALMON W/3EGG WHITES
4TH MEAL:PROTEIN SHAKE
5TH MEAL:TURKEY, CHICKEN BREASTS OR STEAK W/3EGG WHITES & 1/2CUP OF RED OR KIDNEY BEANS
I GUESS THE ONLY CARBS I'M GETTING ARE FROM THE BEANS AND OATMEAL. IS THIS A GOOD DIET, I KNOW I WILL PROBABLY FEEL TIRED BUT I'M VERY DEDICATED: HERES MY SAMPLE WORKOUT:
MON:BACK, BICEPS
TUE: SHOULDERS/CALFS
WED:CHEST/ABS
THUR: QUADS/HAMSTRINGS/CALFS
FRI: TRICEPS/ABS
CARDIO IS PERFORMED 4DAYS A WEEK FOR 25-30MIN

were is your PWO??? you need 1 of those also anything low carb is a bad idea in my book and i also didnt see any EFA's in there you need those read the sticky's

i agree...you need carbs to fuel your workouts. you would probably have more success if you did a straight bulking diet first, then do a cutting diet.
BTW, how'd you type in all caps? didn't think we could do that...

Well The Reason I Decided To Go On This Diet Was Because I Heard Jay Cutler Say He Sticks To High Protein, Low Carb Diets. By The Way Just Hit Your Caps Lock Key And Your Letters Will Be Capital.

Well its not only that, i've heard about the high protein low carb diet, it supposed to allow you to gain lean muscle and burn off the fat.

it will work for you.. however there are down sides..
also
pwo should be 80g of protein and dextrose...
and when you do a protein shake/fat (flax) never add carbs there..
just keep them seperated..

and carbs should never be simple carbs..

Spywizard.....so you think im in the right direction with what i'm eating? Basically i would be taking in very little carbs, i might add another protein shake in there too. I also take creatine, glutamine before my workouts aswell as vitamins everyday.
