Eggs are cheap......just eat the whites.

Red meat is high in protein but high in fat too... If you eat red meat and you're trying to lean down too, then limit your intake to once a day, or maybe even once every 2 days.

Tuna - white albacore in the can.

Orange Roughy is a good source of protein and very lean.

Protein shakes. Isopure has about 45-50 grams of protein per serving (2 scoops) and is about $35.00 for a "tub" of it...

Chicken and turkey, of course, are good sources of protein. Try and stay away from processed foods such as some of the deli meats. Stay more towards the REAL turkey and REAL chicken breasts.

Protein bars are good too for an on-the-go snack/ source of protein.

Kidney beans are also a good source of protein, but I personally don't prefer to eat those.

Smaller snack-size sources of protein are yogurt, cottage cheese, peanut butter.....

Stick with really food if you can, and eggs, can't go wrong with them duno where you are but here 1 doz eggs is about 2.00 Ca so make for cheap meal and very good source of protien. Also if you can buy whole turkey and cook, gives you 2-3 days good eating for about 20.00.

Oh.... well Ass, I really don't know that one. I know that years ago I lived with a body builder that competed at the national level, and he would always eat those in a couple of his meals. But, now that you mention it, I'm almost positive that he included another source of protein with that meal.

I'm curious to know myself what an "incomplete protein" is...

A complete protein contains all of the essential amino acids. Many proteins don't. Most proteins that are derived from animals like meats, eggs, milk, etc are complete. Most proteins derived from plants or other things are not complete. It can be a lot more complicated than this but I'm not getting into that.

    Gilligan's Disigner Protein.

Just an Idea of what really saves me in the offseason when I'm trying o hit an exceeded protein intake and don't have enough time during the day to prepare meals. It costs me $5.00 per can at Sam's Club and each can holds 4 lbs and 2 oz. I usually go through 1 can every two days and carry lots of breathfresheners and my toothbrush to fight off my dreaded "Dragonbreath"!

do not forget salmon steaks, and here in my town muddy catfish on the grille with cajun seasoning. as andy says mmmmmmgood!
watch the jerkey if you are cutting too much sodium. it is cheap if you have a bass pro shop near by. it is on sale all the time there.
they have turkey and buffalo in different flavors.

    Here is what I take

Hope you don't mind but I moved this to the diet section. I try to save the reciepe section for just reciepes. Here is what I take.

Low carb Isopure- $32.00 (Choclotate flavor only)
Tuna is a good source but it can really get bland if you do not have time to prepare it properly.
