I was under the assumption that 4oz of cooked chicken breast has approx 22-25g of protein in it.
Does this mean if I measure the chicken breast in raw form, that the amount of protein will be the same as in cooked form?

Raw I believe.
Thats what I initially thought until I was told otherwise so ive been eating about 8-10oz of cooked chicken breast in order to get 50g of protein but man, it just seems like i am eating alot - maybe too much.Quote:

bump
4oz raw is about 2.66oz (2 and 2/3oz) cooked. if you want 50 g protein either measure 8oz raw, then cook it. or measure 6.32oz (about 6 and 1/3oz) cooked. it will vary a little every time, but its about 50g
chicken looses its protein when its cooked?
why did no one tell me this before

No it just loses weight. So 4oz raw will actually be less chicken the 4oz cooked.Quote:
