Dietary Fiber = energy?
I know dietary fiber is listed under carbohydrates on nutritional info, but can you burn it as energy? Is these carbs better for cutting than the regular ones under carbohydrates and sugars?
I was under the impression that fiber was good for regulating healthy digestive system since the bacteria in your gut feed off of it, anyone got any clues? My friend said when he was training for fights he would eat tons of dietary fiber carbs instead of regular carbs so he could cut and still have energy

They are very good at keeping you full. However as you stated they are not digestable. They are listed as carbs but should not be treated as carbs, since they provide you with no energy. They are great for digestion as well as satiety and overall health. Do not substitute them for carbs though.
