omega 2-6-9 and acne

I just started supplimenting with Udo's oil and omega 3-6-9 complex and have started to notice a bit of acne around my chin, lower cheeks, and neck. Prior to this I had extremely clear skin...the most i ever had was one pimple every 6 months or so. So I was wondering if it had to do with the oil? I have always followed the same type of diet and foods except i recently started eating more veges and almost doubled my protein...so it could be either of these things as well. Have you heard EFAs causing acne? or more protein?

nah, probably just a mysterious phase of acne , happens sometimes...

it could be the oils...
i never got acne on my face
now im having efas and eating perfect
i have acne on my face that i cant get rid off

I have noticed this as well the last 3-4 months, not on my face or neck but on my back and shoulder area.

no way...haha i have the least stressful life you can imagine! i thought the efas were supposed to help the skin too, thats what i dont get. and i drink tons of water too. i think i will just have to go to the dermatologist.

Exactly, EFA's improve skin tone for most as they are vital for nails, hair and skin. I wouldn't blame the acne on EFA's, not sure if there is any correllation, however I suppose you could just be a weirdo

oh of course...i am a weirdo, ill be the first to admit. maybe i should start washing my face?

i will make an appt to see a derm. at least try and get some accutane or something.

I would try pro-active before accutane. I have done both and could not handle the sides from accutane.

Pro-active is a far better product, all around, IMO.

i have been using proactive and it hasnt helped much. what sides did you have with accutane?

It sucks you dry like a prune. No kidding. It SERIOUSLY dehrdrates you.

Plus it has also been linked to deaths and suicides.

I didnt experiance the suicidle thing but def dehyrdration and just an overall sense of not being well came over me.

I take omega 3,6,9, from vitamin world there brand and have never noticed any acne from it and I am acne prone so I think like somone else said just a coincedence.

I took accutane when I was like 12 or 13 and it was a bitch and the doc said 90 some percent chance of acne not comming back and guess what he was wrong so don't go that extreme unless you have to try benzoyl creme or an antibiotc and see if they work before using that stuff I think the risk worses reward isn't worth it for minor acne.

I am on accutane at the momment and

My wife hates me, I am getting smaller, I smell, I am ugly, I am fat, i have a big bum, my job stinks, the boss hates me I would be better of dead

But i dont have any spots
