Such thing as a decent protein bar?

I know they'll never be an ideal choice but are there any that can pass as protein in an emergency?

Not too concerned about taste, just after a reasonable source of protein I can keep in the glovebox for emergencies - my job is such that, although I try to plan my meals, things crop up that put a 'spanner in the works' so it would be great to have something handy to tide me over until I can get to a proper meal.

The Atkins bars are decent. I believe two bars are good for 45 grams of protein, 5 net carbs, and 15 grams of fat. A good number of the convenient stores carry them as well.

You mean the cnp bars right?
They have a new range out now. I ate like 4 at the british championships as there wasnt much else to eat. I reccomend the caramel bars they were really nice.

I like the tri-o-plex bars. Granted...they're not ideal (no bar is), but it'll do in a pinch.

Mmmmmm, the Flapjack bars are well nice, especially the chocolate orange. More of a stodgy treat though IMO. Only 18g of protein too.

    Thanks Guys!
I have ordered some of the Chemical Nutrition bars online and while I was in town today I sampled the Chocolate Chocolate Chunk and Chocolate Roasted Peanut Met Rx bars - pretty yummy!
