french fry like yams?

hey guys...ive asked this question in some1's thread in the diet section but i guess not too many ppl view that stuff cuz no response this week yet...ughh i just switched up the brown rice in the ppwo cutting diet to yams for a couple weeks so i dont give up dieting due to same shit day in day out..anyways is there anyway u can makes these things somewhat crunchy or fry texture like without the use of oil..for the past 2 days ive been just microwaving but if this is possible id try it i luv these yams!..i was thinking just high heat oven but got 0-2 experience using an oven

I'm thinking the over would be your best bet, throw them into the oven till they're crispy. Without oil your choices are limited.
