    Morning Meal and Lifting

    Good morning everyone -

In the morning I usually go to the gym around 7:30AM. I do cardio, then lift. I prefer to do Cardio on an empty stomach; so should I have a meal in between cardio and lifting, and a meal right after lifting? I know that the PWO and PPWO meals are important; those I can get in back at the house or office.

My thoughts were to have a shake in between, and then a shake right after lifting. Then around 10:30AM or so, have a rice/tuna/salsa type meal.

Does anyone have a similar situation?

no.....cardio before weights is something that shouldnt be done....very simple, nor should training on an empty tank.....have breakfast, go train, have a whey shake, do your cardio, have a whey/carb shake...go hom, shower and have a meal.........better yet, do cardio in the am, train at night..or save the cardio for your off days.........

Yeah, I know. I'm being bad doing it this way. I can't train at night for another month or so. That will have to wait - I'll do cardio after training from now on.

    Thanks

Always do it this way. You will get the most out of it. Read post #3 in this thread, tell me what you think

Do your cardio directly after weights. However make sure that you have a pro/carb meal before weights. And I'd suggest doing this only after lifting smaller body parts, after a leg or back day simply skip the cardio.
