alo as far as I know its a completely random process. Cancer forms from dna damage in a cell. We get enormous amounts of those kinds of damages all the time. Sunlight, natural and artificial polutants, food, air, all the free radicals created daily in our bodies from the cell burning oxygen.
But our body is also amazingly good at reparing them. Its when one damage sneaks through the repair system that a cancer will develop. Or when the damage is to overwhelming for the bodie to cope with it(like a good amount of radiation).
I dont think say joe blow is born to get cancer from a specific source. But he might have a greater affinity to get cancer in a area of the bodie do to some kind of mailfunction in the bodies repair system.
Offcourse I might be totaly wrong, but this is the way I have always read it works.

My only understanding on cancer manifesting is when your cells come in contact with something your cells dont agree with, it sparks the growth. As to why it does it for different ingredients, is beyond me, it could very well be that any and all things can spark it, just some are born with higher affinity's to things than others.......
