good snack to keep blood sugar at reasonable level?

Whats a good thing to eat to get your blood sugar up if you start getting light-headed throughout the day?

I'd up your complex carbs more, and eat a banana every other day or something.

i have blood sugar issues too. im not saying this will work for you personally but i have to have a carb relatively high in GI for my 1st meal...my fav is cream of wheat. then oatmeal or brown rice later in the day.

If it's a big problem you need something that works fast like O.J. If it isn't a problem I would just eat some peanut butter or snack on peanuts throughout the day.

Peanuts won't do much in the way of raising blood sugar.

i have heard that OJ is not a good choice because it will cause i temporary spike in insulin and then you will crash again. I know my fiance' has hypoglycemia and she just makes sure she eats on the dot every 3 hours and eats a lot of whole gain complex carbs....for her it's more about eating on time than food choice.
