what would be the pros/cons in coffee before AM cardio?
i'm having a dispute over here with someone because they say they can't function without coffee and need coffee to wake up so they can eat their pro/fat meal and do their am cardio an hour or so later. this person does their cardio in a college course so they need to eat something before. i suggested a pro/fat meal then do cardio, another pro/fat meal or shake, and then a pro/carb meal.
what are the pros/cons of coffee before am cardio when sugar is not administered?

pro is that it will give energy and increase fat burning slightely.
Con is that if they chug down coffe on a empty stomach and do cardio they can get acid reflux

1 cup of coffe is not going to make or break you either way, its some quick energy and thats about it. I dont really see any cons to it at all.

Dorian Yates drank alot of black coffee, obviously it didnt hurt him too bad
