Blood sugar is low, epinephrine and norepinephrine levels are raised which means you have a large amount of FFA's circulating in the blood stream. A perfect time to utilize cardio to oxidize them. Do no more than 30 min and get your shake in soon after that. The only time I would advise against doing so is when doing larger muscle groups such as legs and back.
Would my PWO shake still be the same? Whey+Dex?

Shoot it when you're done w/ your shake.

Yea man, this would be the time to do it, though I remember nark saying when he was cutting fo rhis last show that he shot his slin before his cario (he did his cardio for that show right after lifting, I believe). So if you decide to do that, you may want to talk to/get soem advice form him. Good luck brutha

Just my 2 cents: If this is your first show I woudlnt use slin while cutting for your contest prep. Just MHO

Sorry to rez this thread... but I figured a couple people may be curious about this....

Why no after the larger muscle groups? I can see it kind of overloading the legs a little bit, but I am sure thats not the actual reason.... Curious to know the info

Because larger muscle groups such as the legs and back need to be recovered as quickly as possible due to the large amoun of damage that has been inflicted.

Interesting article...i have actually dropped my usual 5g Glutamine before AM cardio since last week.

I might try doing some low intensity post workout cardio..say 30 minutes tops and see what that does for me.

Question is, should i do this post workout cardio if i am also doing AM cardio? Might try it and see what is best? Both or just PM cardio? We shall see....

I've been doing cardio after training for about a week. No complaints. I actually beleive it's less time consuming.

I did although do cardio after back/bi yesterday . I won't be doing cardio after legs though.

I would not do double sessions, that could be catabolic for sure.

Giantz, why no double sessions? if my diet is in check and i do 45 mins in the am, i shouldn't do 30 mins of very-low intensity after my workout? we're talking 55% of my HR. no good...why?

Because there is only so much fat you will lose in a given week. If you push that, you risk muscle loss.

I agree but thought i would ask as i am not afraid or to lazy to do both..i will finish this week out tommorow with AM only and then next week start 30 minutes of cardio after lifting except for Leg days i will do AM.

There is no way in hell i could do cardio after legs...i barely walked out of the gym on Wed let alone do cardio.

Anxious to see what the results will be, probably good since i have never done it before and it will be a shock to my system.

To be quite honest, like I said above there is only so much fat you can/will lose in a given time frame, you push that you then are talking about muscle loss. Cutting is far more about diet than it is about 2 a day sessions.

I will only do PM cardio this coming week and AM cardio on the day i will do Legs. Also this will allow me to get a little more rest in the morning and that will be good. Will post what my thought on it are.
