LBM Gains: Dirty vs Clean Bulking
Do you think that you put on the same amount of LBM in a dirty bulk as a clean bulk?
Do you think you put on MORE LBM on a dirty bulk?
Assume the protein intake in both is abuot the same maybe lil higher in the dirty bulk min of say 400g Pro
cal range are 6-8k kCals Daily
only thing that really changes are higher GI Foods, More Sat Fats, lil more calorie value, MORE GREASE!

I no way do I think Dirty equals more LBM. If you are eating the same amount of cals, one dirty one clean. One should put on roughly close to the same LBM. I'd lean toward the clean bulk however since it will be clean, healthier and overall with less bas fats and lower gi carbs you would be in an anabolic state for longer periods of time.

Good topic, I've wondered this myself at times. clean bulk vs dirty bulk.....
I prefer to just know that I'm eating healthy these days.

i clean bulked last year 90% of the time and cheated the other 10% about every few weeks....i put on a lot of size and kept my body fat around 12%...if i kept it clean im sure i could have stayed around 10ish, but i liked being free to eat and drink whatever every now and again. I think that clean bulking should be used more often than dirty bulking.

Once you start a dirty bulk it's tough to stop and go back eating the same old boring foods again. For me I'd rather not tease myself. Better to just eat more of the good foods.

Once you start needing like 6 or 7,000 cals/day to further enhance yourself, eating clean can be tough at times. I dont see anything wrong w/ 4 or 5 cheat meals/wk, as long as your burning off alot in the gym and maybe even consider hitting cardio 3 days/wk or something. Also, it helps keep me sane, and it's good to get some of those foods in you crave while you can, b/ come diet time its all business here. As long as I'm floating under 14 or 15%, then I know 10-12 wks is enough time to get diced.

the way i see it the only way u can gain exactly the same amount of muscle on a clean bulk as a dirtier (not totally dirty) bulk is to be VERY VERY disciplined. even then i dont know if i believe it can happen, this is coming from an ecto. a meso might be able to pull it off. its like that post about your upper body not being able to grow if your lower body is not being worked. your body will naturally try to stay proportional. i cant see my body gaining only muscle as fast as muscle AND fat to support it.
im 6'3" and about 190 avg. 24 yrold and can burn fat like nobodys business, when i want to. lets say my goal is 210 solid. thats after i cut up a little. just a little, dont want to be too diced. i see myself eating everything in sight, getting to 215-220, dirty, then cutting down to 210 quicker than gaining only muscle to get to 210. does that make sense?

well it does depend on the individual. I am an meso/endo and if I dirty bulked without much cardio I would put on fat quickly. Sure, I would add a lot of LBM along the way but id rather not add that fat. All dependent on the person.

I'm the same way, I gain a lot if I eat everything in sight, but I will gain fat just as quickly as I will gain muscle, so I end up looking like crap. I'm giving a clean bulk a go for the first time this week, hopefully things will turn out well.

just dont count cals........cont your protein, all else fair game! Quite easy and makes cutting 100x easier!

assuming you gain the same LBM. how much more fat do you think will be put on with the dirty bulk? when i bulk i seam to gain almost the same amount of fat clean or dirty.

meal 1
2 egg
weight gain shake with L-glutamine added
multivitamin
meal 2
2 peanut butter sandwiches
or
2 tuna sandwhiches

3 lean hotdogs
meal 4
weight gain shake

meal x
only sometimes, whatever I find in the fridge.
meal 5
meatloaf, veggies
meal 6
weight gain shake with L-glutamine added
As you can see plenty of protein, carbs and fat, roughly 5,000+ calories a day. I dont have the time to eat a strict clean diet. My training routine is a split 3 nights in the gym with plenty of rest. Gained 11 lbs in 4 weeks so far
