I see alot of discussion on am versus pm cardio, but are there any serious issues with doing cardio REAL later, like, 11pm+? Is this an extremely catabolic way of running, or is it ok as long as I get some protein in after?

i would think thats when i do my cardio late night. i hear that its better right when you wake up though
it keeps me up, if i do my cardio too late i can never get to sleep.
Its not about the time, its about the time in relation to your schedule. Is 11pm just pre-sleep? Or do you go to sleep at 2 am, 4am? etc. Let us know.
Bascially, if you are eating proper after you run, you'll be fine.
Do your cardio.
I'd probably go for a run around 10:30 or so and hit the sack around 1-2am, i've never had trouble getting to sleep doing it that way. What exactly would I have to do to "eat properly" after a late night run like that, dense, assuming I'm trying to drop some poundage?
bump
i'd say IMO to eat some oats or brown rice, with some whey or chicken breats, and some flax...again that's what i would do if i did cardio that late...
yes but what about us people who cant eat carbs late at night? would cottage cheese, brocclii and EFA's do the job after a late night cardio? (btw thats my pre-bed meal so id be going to sleep soon after)Quote:

If cottage cheese and flax works, hell do it, plus it's a pretty clean source anyway so it should do the trick!
