How bout just don't stand with your stomach relaxed, practice and be aware of keeping your midsection tight throughout the day. Pretty simple.

EXACTLY! I'm telling you dude, abs are seen when flexed...........period....look at the pros in a contest.....they lose the flex, their abs go nil.

This is what the "stomach vacuum" looks like:
This works your external/internal obliques and also those transverse abdominis muscles spywizard was talking about.
You take a deep breath & lift your chest. Then keep your chest elevated & breathe out while pulling in your belly button toward your spine to get the lower part of your stomach as flat as possible. Hold it for a few seconds, then breath out. That's one rep.
It'll help if you watch yourself do it in the mirror...& it'll probably require some concentration and mental focus to make it work at first, till ya get the hang of it.
