    Helping a friend out...

Hey need some help or better yet need to know if my calculation was right. An older friend of mine ask me to help him out with a diet cause was happy with my results. At first when I lost my weight the bulk(FAT)50-60lbs I did it on my own with what I like to call the common sense diet. low carb low fat. But since then I hooked up with a trainer at my gym and he gave me 60 pro 30 fat 20 carb diet and real lean now.
Well to get back to my question I did the math to get his BRM then found out his total daily calories. Now this is where im not sure but may still be right. Cause the numbers I came up with are very close to the numbers of my diet that I am on. I know it has to do with age height weight but am I right before I hand it off to him.

He is age 59, weight 160lbs, height 5'6" I came up with 2318 cals thats with moderate exercise then either cut him back to 1818 a 500cal cut for a 3lbs. lose a week or then 2068 with a 250cal cut back for 1 1/2lbs. lose a week

Now my cal count there is a 50-100 cal difference and im 33 age,200lbs,6'
So am I right with what I had come up with for him.

    Thanks

Does he have any diet program right now ??

I would start him around 2000 calories a day .. but I would make his diet more suited to him than yourself... More fiber and greens ... moderate protein moderate carbs and lower fat..

    around 40% pro / 40%carbs / 20% fat

See how that works for him.. make sure he is drinking enough water and see if he is staying regular.. check on him often ..

    Good luck
