Can plenty of water decrease your bodyfat?
I hear that it can.

No, but it can increase the rate at which you lose bodyfat. It believe it can also prevent the storing of some body fat. Depends on how much your drink and how often.
Bump for any other info

I know a bodybuilder that told me he drinks 3 gallons of water right now because he is going to compete. Are there people here that drinks that much?

The reason he is drinking so much water believe it or not is so that he doesn't "hold" water. By saturating you body with that much H2O, you are able to more efficiently hydrate your system without having to worry about retaining. If you notice that when you are really thirsty and you drink water (even in moderation) that you tend to bloat. You body because it has been starved of it is trying to hold on to it. Weird huh?
I'm sure that there are a lot of guys and girls for that matter on the board whom are drinking that amout, maybe more. It's not necessarily a good thing to do often though. There is such a thing as drinking too much water. You end up with a bladder the size of a football as a consiquence.

Today I had a gallon of water and have been pissing like crazy! Every half hour I have to run to the bathroom. Is this normal?

For the first while, then your body will normalize to it. You'll still piss like a race horse, but it will be easier to keep the seal from breaking so often.

A good rule of thumb would be to drink until you urine is clear. Any yellow tinge to it means that you need to drink more water. There are exceptions though. If you are taking a potent multivitamen, then your bladder juice is likely going to be flourecent yellow no matter what.

Drink water until you can stay hydrated. If you can go throughout the night w/o feeling extra thirsty in the morning, then you could probably get away with not drinking before bed time. Like I said before, once your body normalizes to the amount of water that you are taking in, then you should be able to control those frequent trips to the bathroom.
