my diet, but i could use some help bros
Hey gang,
Im making good progress on my path to better living. Im thinking of going back to low carb for a while and i am just stuck on what to do.
Everyone says eat tuna but i cannot eat it. i really throw up if i try and eat it. About all i can think of thats sorta cheap is some cheaper cuts of steak, some chicken breasts and protein shakes.
take a look at this and see if its atleast something ok to do.
im currently on a cycle of fina so im worried about total fat intake, low amount of protien and the carbs.
Im drinking alot more water than this but this is just for my diet totals.
any suggestions would be great, ive hated most veggies so luckly im going low carb.

NO, NO, NO....if you reduce the carbs you must increase the fats intake...what you are doing is almost right...it's a f***in' KETO diet and you are sepouse to take in a shit load of fat, so leave the protein alone (1gm per pound of body weight) and increase the fat closer to about 200gm per day and posiblly even lower the protein to 200gm / day...as our carbs are so low, the body has no other choice but to convert the fats to ketones for energy and to support you body...if you don't give it enougth fat it will eat away on the protein and convert it to glucose and you do not want that...inturn Ketones are very anti-catabolic, so no need to worrie about muscle loss, i have done this many times over with great success, the only other suggestion i have is to through in one high carb day every 7-10 days to help you recharge yourself and your mind...last time i did this kind of diet i was about 195lbs and ate 175gm of fat and 175 gm of protein with probably about 25 gm of carbs (you just can't eliminate al the carbs)...any way hope that helps you out Bro...XXL

XXL is right, you need a fair old amount of fat whilst on a low carb diet (btw Mike - protein gets converted to ketones, not fat. Fat gets BURNED, BABY!).
200g fat + 200g protein = 2600 kcal (not including carb calories). This might be a little too high for buddha_red but the only way to find out is to do the diet and monitor your progress...
xzoomzx - flax is great so include it! I wouldn't put in in your after workout drink for the reason you gave (fat slows down the rate at which food is released from the stomach to the intestines), though a small amount in your drink probably won't affect digestion rates too much.
good luck bro

xzoomzx:
there is a deffinite benifit to using flaxseed oil, among other things it controls your hormon profile, skin, hair, nail health and also stimiulates metabolism...so if you are already taking in a lot of fat, just replace some of the fats in your diet with Flaxseed oil and if not just add some in...
defdaz:
Ketones are beta-hydroxybutyric and aceto-acetic acids among other acids, those are fractured fats created through a process that involves fatty acids (dietary fats), carnitine & glucagon (a hormon secreted when insulin output is highly reduced due to reduced carbohydrate intake). Ketogenic diets reduce muscle catabolism by slowing the conversion of amino acids to glucose.

I know you cant get past the chicken, but try this
1 large can chicken chunks (45g p)
Diced tomato
All spices you can think of, namely dill weed
1 tbsp fat free mayo.
Taste great. Same applies to tuna.
