    My friend needs help!

    His an ectomorph and cant gain weight! His only 17 so juice isnt an option, he eats 5 times a day and uses mega mass 4000, creatine and glutamine. Any sugestions?

    Palme,

    Get him to eat more meals per day - smaller amounts more regularly. Many ecto's can't get enough food in because they feel too bloated for too long after each meal and can't stomach any more food for a while. They end up not eating very much.

    Smaller meals means that they never get the bloated feeling and because of this they can end up eating more food...

    If he's into loads of sport get him to reduce this as he needs to concentrate on the weights if he's going to build.

    Does he eat right before bed? Try 500-1000 calories from Mega Mass evry night before bed and eat his other 5 meals as well.

    What kind of training does he do? Lots of compound heavy movements? Deadlifts, Squats, Bench Press? Targeting muscle groups will not help him as much as the basic compound movements.

    Eat like a horse! He must not worry about getting fat. Getting his body to adjust to holding more weight is the biggest issue. So he should be sure to eat a lot and take a multivitamin. He may even want to consider some digestive enzymes to help with his increased calories and his body using them. Natural sources of these enzymes are found in stuff like yogurt, bananas, papayas and pineapples.

    Actually at 17 and beiong an ectomorph, he is going to have a hard time gaining. Leave protien shakes alone and stick more with a weight gainer type of shake. He will get the protien intake he needs and the calories that he needs to gain weight. Solid foods are best for gaining however I'm afraid at his present age that he will have a hard time gaining, Might be that he has to weight until he is older to begin filling out, however this is not always the case.
