Been dieting, lost fat in my waist but now got extra skin, help..
Im not fat, but had a 'beer belly' or a 'lifters belly'.. I just starting doing sit ups constinly, and been dieting really good. Now I lost the inches in my waist, but it seems like I got extra skin and thats preventing me from getting a perfect 6 pack? What can I do about that extra skin, theres not alot, but I dont want it or need it.. Will it just go away if I still diet?? Or will I have to make my abs huge to fill in the skin so I can have a ripped 6pack???

Surgery is probably one of the real and only solutions, the skin does regain some elasticity but not all that much and i am not sure how much you got there, sit ups and diet will do nothing for the loose skin...good luck...XXL

Post a pic up Bro And we can try to help you as much as possible. I do know they have skin firming lotion that may prove to help you a lot. Also the more mass you gain naturally the tighter your skin will become and the more loose skin you will occupy, be proud of your accomplishments and strive to become better and better

If I did post a pic, you guys would laugh at me because I got no fat and only a little bit of skin.. But its still skin, and it makes it a bit harder for me to get a ripped 6pack...

i had an abdominoplasty, it cost 5k english about 7.5k US$, it leaves little flaps at the side where they finish the cut it was all the way round the front from each side and they had to raise my belly button otherwise it would have been near my #$##. The skin is not tight enough to have a six pack, they take away most of the loose skin, but depending how bad it was before, I have pics in a thread by llbeastcd, in this forum?? or the pic forum maybe, I cant remember.

I checked out the pic. That scar is REALLY apparent, but your abs look a lot better. No way for them to avoid that scar?
I heard about something called lipo sculpting but haven't really seen much info on it.
When you had the abdominoplasty. Did they do lipsuction too? How long here you out after the surgery? How long before you could work out again?

they dont take out any fat, that was after loss of 50kg about, that pic must have been about 6 months later its now about 3-4 years past and the scar is less aparant, there is no way to avoid it, i was so lean when i got it done, but i lost all my muscle i mean I was a stick at 180 lb 12" arms, and 40" chest, im naturally big, I was skinny at that, im 220 now and gained some fat back and to be honest it seems impossible to lose it now, especially the love handles and the little pouch under the belly button. Yes it is a tummy tuck same thing, and they dont take any fat out, they offered me false abs, but i was like fuck that no way

maybe he did, but i dont think so, this guy was highly rec and i didnt have it done in any 3rd world country. It wasnt cheap too, there is specialists who claim to be able to do that SF but, like I said it depends on the severity before hand. I would say all the pics that they show u r not the fat guys who lost untold weight they are the ones who had a little excess skin and they had it removed, it stands to reason

dern just read ur post about the surgery for 13k, well I have considered getting my back done too, it really needs it and I would suggest to anyone who had this problem get them both done, cos u will not be happy, they did tell me they doubt i will have a six pack ever cos of the skin will not be tight enough. The problem is they cant do back and front together cos when u do front u need to walk bent over for at least 7 days to keep the tension of the skin or u can rip the stitches, so if u r bent over forwards u cant have the back done at the same time i guess cos you would put tension to much on that area. I tink u will need time in between. Ask them will it be possible to have a six pack?? if u dont or cant get one, tell them to redo it for free

to be honest 4 yrs later its almost not noticeable, but, its kinda like when u stitich something, its very tight along the scar line but it leaves a lip above it where i got a little pouch it never seems like it will go flat. Kinda like a seem so when i sit down, u can see its like my body meets there, weird really

Well, having had cosmetic surgery on my eyes (laser surgery) that was messed up (and thoroughly denied by the bastards who did it), I have to admit I would probably live with the "extra skin" before allowing some crackpot doctor carve me up just to look better.
My opinion only of course... I'm not a very big fan of cosmetic surgery. Your mileage may vary.

Jason my doc told me he would do both at the same time. It would take five hours to complete the surgy. He never told me what u just said. It was his idea to do both at the same time. And if I get both done I save 3 thousand dollars so unstead of it being 13 thousand it would cost me ten thousand. By the way how long the the tubes stay in you?

Bro you don't konw how it is to live with this problem. If u where never fat and lost alot of weight u have no clue whats it like then.
I think you feel the way I felt before I went and had my eyes zapped. I used to wear glasses, thick ones. Being the active outdoors type, I HATED them. Fighting fires, I HATED them. They always got in the way of everything. Nothing anyone could have said would have convinced me that having laser surgery had big risks. After all, they claim a 99% success rate. Wow was I ever wrong.
All I can say is that if you do chose the way of cosmetic surgery, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Do not believe a word the doctors say, research research and do more research. Remember, cosmetic surgeons just want to sell you an operation. Like a used car salesman. Find out about complications, speak to people who are satisfied and also to folks who were botched.
Just don't let your desire for a better look (which I can understand!) get in the way of common sense like I did.
Take care

Shit maybe I should look into other doctors. I just been to one that was rec to me. Hay you know more then me u had the surgery I have not. And Red sorry to hear about the fuck with your eyes. Do u still wear glass or contacts? And one more thing jason how many docs did u go to until u found the right one. Sorry for all the question Jason but I need to know as much about this from someone that had it done.

hey dern, do not apologise for asking questions! ask ask ask until you are fully comfortable with the answers you get. don't be afraid to be a PITA, after all it's your body! What could possibly be more important?
No, I do not wear glasses or contacts. When you get your eyes lasiked, in 95% of cases you cannot EVER wear contacts again. The cornea isn't spherical anymore. And there isn't a pair of glasses on the planet that will fix what was done to my eyes. (induced irregular astigmatism in one eye, ghosting in the other, night halos and constant pain for a year in both. but since I could read the 20/20 line on the chart I was considered a success and dismissed).
Fortunately the human body being a miracle of adaptibility, with time (about a year and a half) my brain has gotten used to the visual abherations and basically tunes them out. These days I only notice when I am tired. The first year after the butchery was hell though.
But enough of my sob story If you can just pick up one thing from my experience, it's don't be afraid to ask ask ask question and research. When you walk into the O-R, feel confident you know whats going to be done to you inside out... you know the complications... heck you know the procedure as well as the doctor.
My 2 cents worth

great points Red, yeah I asked a good few people and went to a good few clinics, you can see some other post on this in the main forum you might like to read. So I went to a few I wanted to see pics of all the guys work, I then did some checks about the guy being who he said he was, did some research on the net about the company and any complaints and they had some, but alot of good too, as for now their name is shit my mum told me back in the uk. I think you are in the best place, USA for this type of thing, fuck if you seen a doc here in thailand u would shiturself, just go in and they are trying to sign u up for next week with no questions asked , their favourite words are never mind! hope it works out for you bro
