    Weights, then cardio - Nutriton

After a weights only session, fast-acting carbs, whey, to replenish glycogen - We all know the drill etc.

Cardio only, I stick with a whey shake straight after; then one hour later, a whole meal consisting of both carbs and protein. I personally feel carbs straight after cardio only may interfere with possible fat burning hormones that will still be active in the blood.

Now, what about weights with cardio straight after? Both carbs and protein I would of thought as these would simply go straight to the muscle without an ounce spilling over - Dependant on how many carbs you take in that is.

What is your own method of approach?

Don't usually do cardio, however to get any leaner I need to incorp. I stick with 30 minutes on the Stairclimber, at 130-140 HR - Low intensity.

If its workout, then low intensity cardio for 30 minutes. I just follow my normal PWO nutrition. carbs/protein shake. then a whole meal about an hour later

What "fat burning hormones" are you speaking of?

I do not have the theory or scientifics to hand. I will try and post up the link in a while.

But, you're spiking insulin levels for a start, with the fast-acting carbs. Tell me how this can be productive straight after a 30+minute cardio-only session.

I think I will stick with this theory. It makes the most sense.
