I think Isopure has a 0 carb version. Probably 0 fat too though, but a good way to up calories via protein.

Deffinitly. Carbs help to shuttle the Protein into your muscles. Otherwise the part of your Protein becomes glucose and wasted away instead of used as building blocks for muscle growth and repair. So yes, drink carbs with Protein...

However, Mr. td32 is trying to run his body into a state of Ketosis. So eliminating all his carbs is his goal.

As you carb deplete, your blood glucose levels plummet, and when they dip below a certain point, the pancrease starts secreting glucagon - and that means more HGH and more bodyfat utilization.

During Ketosis, since carbs are not available, glucagon is released instead of insulin , and dietary fats are converted into Ketones. Ketones take over all the glucose's functions...

Excess carbs beome stored fat... and excess ketones are excreted into urine. So you effectively tricked your body into burning away all the stored fat.

This is not for endurance athletes nor for those wishing to add strength or size - simply for deffinition and dieting down. Bottomline, you feel like shit for the first 3-4 weeks especially... while your body is making it's adjustments.

So keep eating your carbs with your protein!
