The ONE true diet... a Paleodiet. Period.
A paleodiet is the diet that humans and our ancestors followed for 2.6 million years (the paleolithic period). Read that sentence again. That is 2.6 MILLION years! It has only been in the last 10,000 years that humans have consumed grain and corn products.
What comprises a paleodiet?
Only foods that a non-agrarian people could find, scavenge, hunt and eat. Primarily meats, fowl, fish, vegetables, nuts, berries and fruits.
The ONLY reason the Atkins diet works, or the Blood Type diet works (75% + of all people fall into the meat eating categories in the Blood Type diet) are because they resemble a paleodiet.
By default, a paleo diet is high in protein, moderate-to-high in fat, and low in carb.
