    Umberto's dilema. HELP PLEASE

    OK guys

    Ive decided to cut up
Ive always been big on heavy weight training, and big into gaining mass. I know how to get big and strong, but ive neglected the other half of bodybuilding mainly the cutting phase

    I have a few questions:
    1) How many of my 5 meals a day can be protien drinks? I want to eat 3 meals and 2 protien drinks.
    2) What do you guys think of High intensity cardio in the morning on an empty stomach?
    3) Ill be doing this au natural, Like I always have been
    4) Is a 12 week cutting phase long enough?

I have attached a pic to show you roughly of what I have to work with
It is from about a 1.5 years old. I was 230 in the pic, now I'm about 245 with the same BF%
    Any suggestions?

OLD PIC- 1.5 years old. NOW 15 lbs heavier and stronger same BF

You look like you have a good base to work with.

1- Stick with real food as much as possible. The only proein shakes I drink are right before and after my workouts. As long as your getting the right amount of calories and nutrients go for it.

2-Yes, cardio in the morning for 30-40 minutes on an empty stomach is the way to go, now you will need to eat ASAP afterward though. Maybe even an eca could help you out but I'd try the cardio by itself first.

3-Thats good but like I said an eca, like hydroxy cut or something could work, also protein, glutamine and a good multi-vitamin

4-12 weeks could work, but if it goes slow it could take longer, remember you want to stay around a pound to a pound and a half a week of weight loss, no more. Good luck and keep us posted!

    1. Ditto to texan, although I have a protein shake with almost every meal.

2.Hmmm if it works for you then go ahead, your body is very catabolic when you wake up so you can be sacrificing muscle too. I just want you to know, the 1-2 lbs of fat a week, that works with NO CARDIO if you just eat 500 below maintenance without any cheating.

3.Good, besides vitamins, glutamine, and protein everything else is a waste of money IMO.

4.Depends, see where you are after 12 weeks.

    Remember to cut calories slowly.

For example if you needed 3000 calories a day to maintain your current weight, you would drop it to 2500 calories a day and in seven days that would equal to 3,500 calories you hadn't consumed. And their is 3500 calories in a pound of fat. This works very well if you know all your informaton and have a good diet in order and know your are losing fat.

    peace
