    Question Venison Vs Beef?

I like to eat venison over beef. I dont really eat a lot of beef. I know that venison is a much leaner meat. I am trying to gain lean muscle so what do you guys think of the venison over beef? I also drink protien shakes and eat lots of tuna(in water).

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I know alot of people that are this way....I used to be one of 'em when I was little. In many ways venison is better than regular store bought meats.

If I have it, I eat it up. Allthough I plow through about 10 Lbs a week so it doesn't last very long at my house.

I eat mainly the plain ole meat. I guess you can call me a country boy because i get deer sausage made entirely out of deer. Its kind of dry but you should try it sometime. Thanks for the help guys.

Deer is red meat so it should have all the anti catabolic properties that red meat does along with all the great nutrients( zinc iron etc)

deer is the best meat you can eat, it has virtually no fat and all the aminio's/properties that is found in steak. (from what i hear) .. i wish they sold deer meat in the supermarket here in NYC.

Only problem is, it is of course illegal to sell venison, but legal to give it away.

    Anybody got any extra?

I used to DEVOUR venison... pounds and pounds of it.. but now I'm sick of it...

Not for long though, I pick up a bunch from home again in the fall, along with some caribou, and some moose...
