a quick keto diet would drop that weight if its just some stubborn fat.
do you know her height or body fat %?
its really important to come up with a diet thats for life, so i suggest setting caloric goals based on body mass and age.
with good cardio im sure it will also help.

Well I'm guessing she really doesn't care for muscle,if so, I'd go keto. But when she rebounds up the carbs, make sure to go up slowly as to not cause a balloon effect.

I'd stay away from the Keto just cuz she's young and it pretty easy for her not to follow the routine and screw it up.
I'd tell her to cut the carb intake (pasta, potatoes, ...) and up the cardio. This way she won't do anything drastic but she should get the results she needs.
