Thanks for the extra link,....can never have to many.
I got another question. When it comes to the carb counting thing, for example:
I got these whole wheat tortillias (sp?) that are low fat low carb. There is 12 total grams of carbs per serving. And 9 grams of fiber. So if I am right here, that leaves only 3 actual grams of carbs to count on the daily carb list, correct?
If this is right, should I do this with all the carbs I eat? Like green beans, should I not even count those on the carb list?

Depends, you can or you can't fiber is unused so even if you get 10g of it and 40cals from that amount your body doesn't digest it so you don't get the cals or insulin increase. Pretty sweat if you ask me. Some people claim you do get some of the cals from fiber. It is one of those personal things. I do count them but I make a side not of how much fiber I get per day and adjust my diet accordingly. BTW, I am good for 50g of fiber a day.

What do you think about about low carb tortilas, wheat of course. I would like to have chicken burritos for lunch. If not low carb, what about no carb?
Also, are planters no salt dry roasted peanuts alright, or should I go to the bins at the local organic store for that stuff?

Planters are ok (nuts are nuts, as long as they haven't been honey roasted and all that other crap), as for the low carb torts wheat I think they will be ok if your total carb count for the day can handle them.

What do you have a minor in math for?....What do you do for a living? That is my worst subject. I think the ADD gets in the way!!

OK that is fine I guess.
I am good in math so it was easy to get, I am a senior accounting specialist for a large mutual fund custodian. I have a BBA in Finance a BA in Economics and a Minor in math. Currently working on my MS in comp sci, but I don't think I will finish in time for when I want to get my MBA. Maybe someday I will get some degree in nutrition.

Ya, I just answer them all at once, not putting you off just that I get about 7 a day I would say and they are always so involved that I set time aside to answer them all at once.

Do you think that 65 grams of fat is to much for me? 5'8", 190.
I was at 184 before I went to vegas, I got back at 190 and have gone up 2 pounds since, following the strict diet. The only change in nmbers in made was I got flax seed oil and have now been eating 65 grams a day in stead of 40 grams a day.
I am so frusterated....my love handles were completey gone before I went to Vegas, and now they are back and not going away.
What do you think?
I saw Taus's results from the ckd diet and he looks great. I was thinking of trying that for 8 weeks. Thing is, I here you gain alot back when you go off of it.

Well the 65g number will depend on where the other macros are. All-in-all at the end of the day what will decide if you lose weight or gain is if calories in is different than calories out. That is what you need to find. Getting the macros in the correct percents for your body will help make the fat come off faster than muscle. So try dropping the 65 down for a week or 2 and see how you feel. You have to play with the numbers and judge the results for yourself. I have also heard that about CKD diets, I do believe it is because they drop you conversion of T4-T3 because of the lack of carbs, and it takes a few weeks to get back to the regular level, and also you insulin will be very sensitive to carbs after you start getting them again. I think most people find the best results from comming off CKD and doing TKD for awhile and then going lower carb and then finally regular. BTW that is all my own opinion and not backed by medical study except from the house of pain medicine.
