I use equal, I haven't found anything bad on it, except the few articles that say it will cause cancer but then again their is a study showing that everything will cause cancer so I pay it no mind. I like the taste of it. It makes low carb days a little easier. The GI rating for it is like a 7 or something really low like that.

hey pain i read a study the other nite that showed no indication that sweet n low or equal caused cancer contrary to original belief. If i'm not mistaken it was a long term study conducted by Duke University Med School, so that should be a relief to some if preliminary results are accurate over long term usage.

It has been proven...that long term use of EQual causes, lean muscle tissue growth, square jaw syndrome, acne, shruken gnads, hair loss, tempermental behavior patterns, hunger increase, fat loss, vascularity, limpness of the schlong AND cancer.
I know all this because it was tested in the same lab that one of our bro's had the Detour Bar tested in.... I use it and love the taste. I also use stevia.

According to my biology professor, artificial sweeteners are only bad when pregnant because it will cause some sort of birth defect.... So you probably have nothing to worry about....
