Critique diet please, just began CKD
I am attempting a CKD diet for the first time, and ive been feeling like a fat ass every since I started some 30 hours ago lol. I am 190 lbs and around 18% bf.
Here is what I had today. Let me know what you think. I know I need to be taking in more calories, but I don't know how I will do it and stay below 20 carbs a day. Its tough.
Meal 1: 4 strips bacon, 3 scrambled eggs, multivitamin, vitamin c, flax oil 440 calories, 33g fat, 27g prote!n, 3 carbs
Meal 2: Chicken Breast covered in 1 tbsp italian dressing
130 calories, 7g fat, 17g prote!n, 1 carbs
Meal 3: 2 Steak-ums
220 calories, 14g fat, 18g prote!n, 0 carbs
Meal 4: Chicken Caesar Salad with 4 tbsp ranch dressing, and 1/4 shredded cheese
570 cals, 27g fat, 47g prote!n, 6 carbs
Meal 5: 1 Steak-ums
110 calories, 7g fat, 9g prote!n, 0 carbs
Meal 6: 1 tbsp natural chunky peanut butter
100 calories, 8g fat, 3.5g prote!n, 3.5g carbs
TOTALS:
1570 calories, 96g fat, 121.5g prote!n, 13.5g carbs
I also consumed close to 2 gallons of water.

Just a little update...
Almost 40 hours later, and still no ketosis from what I can tell. Going to give it more time though. I am down 8 lbs in the last 2 days, and I feel a little foggy though, so maybe its coming soon.

your surly getting there, drinking that much water but still losing water weight that fast means that your glycogen stores are running out and carrying the water that solublizes them with them.

Get them in the freezer section of your store. They are for making philly cheese steak sandwishes. Basically its just a real thin slice of beef. They come like 7 in a box.

by the way...
Entered ketosis some time last night I think. Woke up this morning and ketostix show about half way up the meter. My fiance started at the same time as me, and she was reading at the top of the meter yesterday.
I am drinking close to 2 gallons of water every day, so maybe my urine is just so diluted that its not giving a good reading?

correct me if I am wrong but shouldnt the fat intake be higher than the protein on a CKD to make sure you are burning fat and not muscle?

yeah, u are spot on correct on that one!
I was going to say something, but thought to myself, "nah". 10inch has his own ideas, and has shot down mine in the past like an Iraqi war plane, so I chose to look fine from the sideline.
He doesn't like the fact I have my own diets that people have great success on, so everytime I comment on someone's diet when it DOES HAVE A SERIOUS FLAW, I get labeled as pushing my diets.
Well hell, at least mine make sense!

should be more like
122g fat
107g protein
10g carbs (max imho)
thats if you wanna stick to 1570kals, the reason most people fail to get into ketosis is they dont eat enough fat this is a classic example, you need at least 70% fat

right now I am doing about 50% fat, 30% protein, 20% carbs with 3g's of ALA ED and I am solid into trace/small ketosis for over a week now. I am down 7 lbs since I started. I know thats mainly water but atleast its starting to work.
