    how much creatine

How many grams of creatine is good to take in on a workout day. Right now I am taking in 5g postworkout with dextrose. Is that enough?

Bro, 5g is only sufficient if you weight under 185 lbs. For 185-215, you need 10g, 215-245 15g, so on and so forth.

td32- I like to take mine like this 5g before and 5g after my workouts. It's all up to you on when to take it.

if you are around 200, then you should take 5g post workout and 5 g daytime (if you workout in the evening like me) and 55 30-40 mins before workout. That way your body has more creatine to convert ADP (Adenosine DiPhosphate) to ATP (Adenosine TriPhosphate).

the logic behind creatine supplementation is that our bodies can only supply creatine to muscles for energy for 10 seconds, and if you are a hard working individual (heavy weights) then you need 15-20 g ED, and 5-10 can be taken with your dextrose post workout and do Glutamine also (10-40g) for recovery and to prevent catabolism/......

hopefully you have a good paying job.. lol
