Quick carb cycling question
Im noticing that my fat loss has started to slow down. Im going to start carb cycling this coming Monday. I'll be doing a high, low, no carb 3 day cycle. My question is do I raise my protein and veggies intake to help keep my calories even all 3 days or will my calorie levels vary with my carb intake?
Thanks!!

i would say not, thats how your going to burn the fat with a calorie deficit, make sure you get enough potein for your lean body weight

One more question. On my low carbs days, should I have normal carb amounts but with every other meal or cut them in half for every meal? Right now Im doing half carbs every meal. Oh BTW, no carb days suck!!! LOL

My low carb days I just have carbs at breakfast, pre workout and Pwo, if it's anon training day it's just carbs at breakfast.

How many grams are you taking in on the high and low days?

Approx. 30 grams per meal on high and 15 on low and the only carbs I have on zero days are in green veggies etc. I keep my protein at approx. 45-50. So daily 200-240 high, 100-120 low and protein at 300+. I weight 195lbs approx. 12%BF and am just cutting to get abs, while priming for my next cycle. A duel purpose diet. I hope to get into single digits for BF. I know the levels seem high but its working for me.

Fireguy was asking my intake I was replying to him and bumping for him to respond. I took a week off from the gym to recover, I do it about every 3 months. I lost 5.5lbs and see a some size loss. Im hoping its just water leaving the muscle from not lifting, if my weight doesnt come back up Ive gotta up my total intake. 5,5lbs in a week is way to much. Im gonna give it 2 weeks before I decide. Abs my not be worth the loss of muscle at this weight. I'll do the carbs cycling but at a higher total calorie intake.

Sorry, I missed this one and am late with the reply. I would up my high days and lower my low days. Say 300 on the high and 75 on the low and leave the no carb days for non weight training days.

Ok, my days and carbs are as below. I think it falls pretty good with carbs vs workouts. I never had any issues with lifts or endurance.
Mon-High-Chest/tris
Tues-Low-Back/bis
Weds-No-Core
Thurs-High-Legs
Fri-Low-Shoulders/Traps
Sat-No-maybe 30 min target heart rate cardio
Sun-Cheat day.

If you are going to have a cheat day while carb cycling you really should use that as one if your high carb days. Two high carb days plus a cheat day is too much to overcome. Also, cheat days almost always lead to fat gain. I would suggest making it a cheat meal instead.

It basically is a cheat meal, some pizza etc. I eat the normal food I eat during the rest of the week, I just dont control my portions or timing as tightly

I would still use that say as one of your two high days. The way you have it now you are basically having high carb days 3 days a week. That totally defeats the purpose of a carb cycle. Even two days a week is at the high end, one high day every 4-6 days optimal depending upon your goals.

Maybe I need to revamp it then
