I was wondering if eating too much protein while on a CKD will induce Catabolicism(catabolic state) (Yes I've created a new word). I read somewhere that since on a CKD, your carbs are low and your fat should account for a higher percentage of your total calories than your protein. If your protein is too high your body will prefer to burn the protein from your muscles.
Is this True?

it's true......your body will also convert excess protein to carbs/sugars, and take you out of ketosis, henceforth killing what the diet aims to accomplish.
I hate CKD's for these reasons and a HOST of others.

What would be a good protein intake for me, Im around 171 11-12bf,
Should I shoot for bodyweight or less.
Also, what do you recommend, TKD. I am unsure of how to work a TKD, and get good results.
The general rule of thumb is 1g/lbs of body weight. Go higher if you are cutting. I can even get away with a little lower than that when bulking and still be fine. It is dependent upon your body and what type of protein you are getting.
