    Gaining Fat

Should I be concerned how much fat percentage I intake a day? about 60% carbs 15% protein and 25% fat is what my daily intake looks like. about 4000 calories per day is what i consume. Im worried im going to be gaining the wrong kind of mass at this rate and ive never felt so damn bloated in my life.

Ouch. That's a lot of carbs. You'll be thick for sure.....just not the kind of thickness I suspect you are after.

Where are all these carbs coming from???? Protein shakes??????

    protein/carbs/fat

Unfortunately most "gainers" are loaded with sugars which is where the carbs come from. I'll bet maltodextrin is listed early on the ingredients. It's 7x sweeter than regular sugar and causes a nasty insulin spike which promotes fat retention.

They're definitely "gainers" but not muscle gainers.

Best way to bulk is with a good nutrition plan. You'll develop leaner, healthier gains.

guys don't get big by accident. if it were as easy as only drinking "optimum nutrition serious mass" then i guess we'd all be doing it.

mate, you need to get your diet in check.

let me break it down for you, ok? I'll let the gurus jump in after this...

first, you need to know about tdee, learn this by going here:
    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...gy-Expenditure

    next, macros by going here:
    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...nutrient-Chart

next, go here and read a few of the diets that some of our experienced members have posted. then adjust according to your goals and tdee requirement. after, post your own diet broke out by macros per meal and total macros per day. include your tdee so we can benchmark agianst it. if you are trying to bulk, then remember your diet needs to be 500+ calories per day OVER your tdee.
    http://forums.steroid.com/forumdispl...RESOURCE-FORUM

you will recieive some constructive advice.

soon, you will realize what you need is whole foods and the right kinds/quantities of these foods at the correct macros based on your goals. you will also realize you will not be able to accomplish your goals by "shakes only"

hope this helps, and good luck!

    Absolutely welcome.

Best time for protein shakes by the way, before, during, or after a work out. The insulin spike brought on by the sugars in most protein shakes actually supports protein transfer and synthesis in the muscle. Outside of these times, most protein shakes just promote fat retention.

    Good luck bro.
