    Changing diet for changing routein

I will now be working out after work and was wondering if I should use a different kind of protein after my workout/before bed. I will be working out at night and will be going to bed shortly after my workout.

Also, should I stay up and eat a meal after my shake? Cottage cheese perhaps?

If you're cutting or watching your waistline, I would suggest a lower carb protein. Whey will go through your system fairly quick leaving you with not much for the body during sleep. You could maybe drink a 20g shake and then eat 20g of non-fat cottage cheese. The casinate protein found in the cottage cheese is slower digesting and will replenish your muscles better during the night. Hope this helps, REDROCK

I am bulking on a cycle right now. I think that I will just drink my whey after the workout and stay up long enough to eat some cottage cheese.

Are egg whites a good slow protien?

Yes egg whites are perfect to eat before bed, slow digesting.
