Great for bulking. Not for cutting

If you are carb sensitive, you may have to reduce carbs in lieu of fat. I loose quicker when keep my total non fiber carbs at 30g.

rice grows like that, potato's grow like that, pasta is more of a man made thing, but not bad necessarily. A little trick, keep the pasta once cooked, over night. they did a study and it causes a MUCH lower GI Spike.

    Links to the study?

And ya pasta has more cals per 100grams compared to rice. Also it's way easier to eat 100g of pasta than rice and especially potato. So it all depends on your appetite and your goals

As a fat kid growing up it took me a surprisingly long time to realize a normal portion was not 2 heaping plates.

I'm still not sure I realize what a normal portion is. I rarely eat less than two plates of anything unless I'm not in the mood for that particular food lol

Yep. I've got to weigh the dry pasta every time or I'll use 1/2 of the 2lbs bag of pasta.
