    Bulking and weight gain

So I've been trying pretty hard lately to eat well about my maintenance level for calories to put on some pounds naturally. I haven't necessarily been eating clean. All of the extra weight gain is going towards my stomach area. What are the secrets to keep my stomach looking good. I'm pretty lean, and the gut shows up fast. Should I skip out on the high calorie means, and focus more on the clean eating and just eat even more?

    Thanks

Eh ? Eating at maintenance won't put you pounds on, eating above it will.

When I'm bulking I usually wake in the morning flat stomach and it generally expands as the day goes on and I over eat.

Yes stuck to clean foods and over eat on them, over eat on protein. Maybe you are allergic to something causing you to bloat ?

Train harder too! For longer and more often ! Make that excess food turn into muscle ! Don't just wait for something magical to happen

I eat above maintenance, usually 300-500 above it.
Is it usually better to eat more meals with less food at each meal, or eat 3-4 times a day with more food/calories per meal?

It's not critical, so long as you get your calories in. Personally my stomach is small with eating little and often rather than three bigger meals , if that's your concern.

If you decide to bulk you might as well accept the fact that you're going to put on a point or 2 of bodyfat. But i'm interested in the macro's as well

I would say it pretty close to: Protein 1000 cals, Fat 500 cals, and Carbs around 1000 cals. I think this is around how it breaks down for me. Let me know if this sound like something that is way off.

I'm not so much worried about the body fat, it just seems like everything is going to my stomach. Everything else is growing and getting bigger, its just my stomach seems to be gaining the most.

That's a male trait some worse than others. Just accept it and get fat for a while, it's a sacrifice to be made to gain muscle especially in the early days.
