    Help me go FOOD SHOPPING!!

I am a 24 year old guy that lives alone, I want to start shopping healthy like twice a week. Does someone have a cool little list on what to buy at the market? Healthy stuff obviously.

What do you guy buy? Thanks..

And remember I am single, and I always wind up going and buying WAY more then I need and it goes bad..
    Thanks

    All right mustang331 I’ll give you my typical week of food shopping. I have a family but what I buy is for myself and keep my daughters separate (my daughter likes a little junk food now and then) so here goes;

2 flats of eggs (2 ½ dozen per flat)
    2 bell peppers
    2 onions
3 whole chickens (I roast them, cut them up and pre package the portions for the week)
1 or 2 Salmon fillets (usually for dinners twice a week)
2 pounds of lean (8% fat or less) ground beef
Tuna I just keep my shelf stocked with this
White and brown rice (basmati type, not Uncle Ben’s and yes it and the brown rice costs more but taste a hell of a lot better and better for you, IMHO)
1 head of broccoli and cauliflower
Frozen green beans (I don’t care for the canned type)

You’ll need to buy some things for seasoning as well as some good oils and what not for flavoring. But you’ll not need to buy those items every week. And bro if you have a freezer then stock up when the sales are on for meat items and such.

I don’t eat lots of carbs because I’m always keeping an eye on my waist line. You on the other hand might need a few other items like oatmeal, Sweet potatoes and such if you are bulking.

You will have to tailor what you buy around what goals you have in mind but I thought I take a stab at it. Good luck

    Jugg

Here's my shopping list. I don't mind eating the same stuff day after day, so it makes things super simple.

-Big frozen box of chicken breast (Costco)
-Big huge bag of frozen veggies (Costco)
    -2Litre of Skim Milk
-Box of Vector cereal for a treat (pre breakfast snack)
-couple packs of extra lean hamburger
-20+ cans of tuna ( I truly live on the stuff.. 2+ cans a day)
    -Big huge bag of potatoes
    -14 500ml of egg whites
    -Big bag of rolled oats
    -sugar twin
    -Big bottle of protein
    -protein bars
    -gatorade powder
    -steak sauce
-eye or round or sirloin steak

I've given up on pasta and rice. They're just too much of a hassle to prepare and I just use baked or nuked potatoes as my source of carbs. Oh and oatmeal is a good carb source too.

I spend about 200$ Canadian every two weeks on this. Might seem like a lot for one person, but I rarelly eat out and that in itself saves tons of money.

I've never heard of a pre-breakfast snack before. I'm still laughing my ass off.

I agree with ya though dangit, might seem weird eating the same foods everyday but it keeps it REAL simple.

My shopping list never varies from what I buy for food...... I can now get out of the market in under 30 min. I hate that place!
