I am trying to lower my %BF which is going down but my weight is not? Not sure about macros but I have my fitness pal app and my macros are set to protein/carbs/fat 50/30/20 is this ok? I can say a few things,

You may be under maintenance cal, but you may want to go under more.

Your low sugar oatmeal has acesulfame potassium (AceK) and Sucralose (splenda)

    So does your dymatise whey.

Both are filed with artificial sweeteners, which will make you hold water and bloat you. As well as possibly messing up metabolism.

    Find Replacements

Plain oatmeal with some Stevie or just plain.

Replace dymatise with muscle feast brand or myprotein brand.

Both are way cheaper than dymatize and are free of those bad chemically modified sugars.

Both brands mentioned have unflavored versions, and their flavored ones use stevia

I drink 2 sugar free monsters a day plus 2 scoops of whey protein with artifical sweeteners in it. Will this really mess up my metabolism and if so how?

    They are Neuro toxins

They kill brain cells instantly and cause hormonal responses

It could be the very thing holding you back

Fwiw, you could not pay me $2000 to eat a ramun noodle soup, bag of doritos, and 2 diet cokes meal.

I spoke with a nutritionist today and he stated that It could be from Low Test Levels and that my Hormone Level could be off as well being that I am busting my ass in the gym and eating fairly clean. The nutritionist said that he has a client that is around my age (49) that suffered from Low Test Levels and when the client got on a TRT he lost a 100 lbs. and feels great. I got my Blood Work done on yesterday so I will see what the numbers are and post as well.

Thanks Couch however, I have lost a lot of weight using splenda in the past, I am not sure if that is what the problem is but I will keep a look out and do more research about those ingredients.

Ah yes, I when I lost all my weight I was a heavy splenda user, but ill tell you what. You don't realize just how bad artificial are effecting you untill you eliminate all of them from your diet.

The few weeks after I did, I looked back and realized just how badly they caused mental confusion.

Fwiw, I highly doubt they are impacting your weight loss, its just worth mentioning it.

Because if everything is perfect, and you kinda stalled, its time to nitpick things.

Also the kind of fat loss ibassume your after is about 3lb a week?

That Isn't accomplished with a slight caloric deficit, its going to take major deficit.

You eat under maintenance by 400 cal or so, its a long steady process.

For rapid fat loss you need to only be eating 1700 no more per day. Its very counter productive to muscle growth.

I maintained strength at 1500 per day. Didn't get bigger muscle, but held strength steady.

This is about a good rule of thumb.

Every 3500 cal is a pound. So factor that into your current plan

I've hit walls, I used to fast for a day after a simple tiny cheat such as a few bowls of captain crunch or fruity pebbles (cereal is my demon, i looove cereal) I found its better to not fuck up and be able to not have to "chase off" calories i was guilty about.

I support you 110% I know exactly what your going through, all the hard work and it seems to be working the other way.

I used to be embarrassed about dieting around family during holidays, xmas, fourth of July (8 different pies for that holiday, fucking 8 including lemon meringue and key lime) I used to get the "oh my you can eat that, why are you soo picky worse than a woman" speech and look

Well guys, cuzz I was a 5'5" 250 lb morbid fat ass who's penis was hidden under a flap of fat, I wanted to see how a bullet felt passing through my brain stem daily" lol I actually told my aunt that one time in front of everybody, I never got chastised about dieting again

No one wants to clean up that mess....

Like Couchlockd said, keep everything natural . I eat my oats with natural blueberries and cinnamon.
I take all natural whey as well .
On top of that, you need to determine your TDEE vs calories in.
Don't underestimate bf either. LBM will be a factor in accurately determining how many calories you need.
As far as the almond milk, why not water? Or tea, green, black etc.
If Almond milk is absolute, then make sure it's the unsweetened.

As far as the doc goes,he should be doing a whole hormone profile ,not just test. Your thyroid is also a factor in weight loss or gain.

This is the dumbest thing I have read today unless you are joking! There is zero basis is in reality for this BS.

OP: The amount of artificial sweetener you are consuming is perfectly fine as far as I am concerned.

Yeah I know BB I have been working on it longer than two weeks but I know I got to be patient. I don't want to be slowed down by having low T and hormone issues so I am glad I am getting my BW checked and I and very curious of the results will post for sure.
