    The Benefits of Peanut Butter?

Why is PB such a staple of everyones diet? It seems to have alot of fat and carbs. I can understand tuns, cottage cheese, etc., but why PB?

It's high in calories for such a small serving amount.

The fats you are eating are good fats.

    Yep...... Plus it tastes good!

Make sure you use natural peanut butter and not the one loaded with sugar and salt. I go through a jar in a week.

Natural peanut butter once you subtract the fibrous carbs, does not yield that many carbs at all, it's mostly healthy fats and protein.

Very good for low carb diets if placed properly.

Well, can't really say anything that hasn't been said already. It's a good source of EFA's, protein, and high in cals.... the taste is a plus too.
