    diet phase 1 ...what do you think?

    Right now im 5'9 240 about 15% bf and im looking to cut to 215 and then build back up eating a clean diet. My trainer wrote me up this diet ....let me know what you think.

    6 egg whites
    4 oz beef pattie
    1 pk oatmeal ( the healthy kind not the processed sugar shit)
    6 oz skim milk
    12 oz water

    1 6oz can of tuna or 8 oz turkey breast
    2 cups of salad w/ 1/2 tomato and cucumber
    2 oz vinegar or low carb dressing

    8-12 oz of protein (chicken breast, lean ground beef, turkey breast,fish)
    2 cubs of cabbage,spinach, string beans or broccoli
    another damn salad
    water

    protein shake with less than 10 carbs

    8-12 oz protein
    salad
    2 cup sof string beans
    water

    protein shake.

    Wheres the post workout shake with dextrose? Need the simple sugars immediatly post workout cutting or not to restore muscle glycogen.

    I usually workout right when I have to eat meal 5 so what i was thinking is if i added a small meal like a half hour before such as 1/2 cup oatmeal and a protein shake. And then i could add a post workout shake and then i could eat my meal right after i shower and stuff. What do you think? Im horrible at the diet thing so that's why i need the help. Thanks bro. Web

    Your new idea for PWO is fine.

    For beginners, you will need at least 6 meals, eating every 2-3 hrs, this is just basic advice.

    I would give the diet a try and see how it works, once you hit a plateau, start removing carbs and some fat but never let the fat drop below 40g a day, and gradually up the protein. I would also add in a binge day every so often.

    BTDR,

    Simple sugars are not necessary whether you are cutting or not. If you can get away with them, then i say go for it, otherwise leave em out. I don't take in simple sugars year round, bulking or cutting.

    everyone thanks for the advice. I'll give it a try. Well actually i started today and everything went well. The only thing i have a problem with...or i know i will is the once in a while DQ cookie dough blizard but i know it only hurts me and nobody else. Thanks for the help.
