You will not lose weight. Try 5000 calories for BULKING.

If you're starting a new cycle, I wouldn't jump right up to 5000 cals. If your maintenance cals are around 3000, immediately bump up to 3500. Increase by 500 calories maybe once a week, work your way up to 4500-5000 - if you're in the middle of your cycle and not seeing results, bump it up...but like i said, work up to it.

I gotta agree, 5000 calories a day sounds good. I would try 6000

increasing 500 per week to get to 5000 sounds good, 6000 i dont know how to eat that much unless i start hitting the fast food chains. most of what i have is low fat thus have low cals. is 120g fat about the most u want to have?

If you're looking to bulk, i'd say you can safely go up to ~ 20% fat which is right around 120g (assuming 5000 calories). You may be able to get away with more (depending on your metabolism) without gaining too much fat.

I also think 6000 might be extreme, but you have to see how your body is reacting. If you're making no progress at 5000 or feel like you can eat more, go for it, bump it up again. For now, gradually increase up to 5000 like you said...see how it goes from there
